Improved Performance, Feed Conversion and Intestinal Resilience in Broilers

DOSTO® Oregano Oil enhances growth, feed conversion and intestinal integrity in broilers, particularly during Eimeria challenges. In a U.S. study from 2019, birds receiving 25 g DOSTO® Concentrate 500 /ton achieved nearly five percent higher weight gain and over three percent better mortality-adjusted FCR (Figure 1), along with significantly reduced cecal lesions. At 75 g/ton, Salmonella counts decreased by day 28.

A Canadian study in 2021 confirmed these benefits in vaccinated broilers, where DOSTO®
improved feed conversion both via drinking water and feed (Figure 2), while reducing
oocyst counts by up to tenfold.

Enhanced LateLay Productivity and Egg Quality in Laying Hens

In late-lay periods, DOSTO® Oregano Oil helps maintain performance and egg quality. A
2020 study in China showed higher laying rates, better feed conversion, thicker
eggshells and increased digestive enzyme activity (figures 2, 3 and 4). Research in
Germany in 2023 confirmed additional benefits, including improved egg mass and more than nine percent higher income over feed cost.

Stronger Health and Performance in Turkeys

DOSTO® Oregano Oil supports turkey performance under both challenged and non‑challenged conditions. A 2022 study at North Carolina State University demonstrated
reduced Eimeria oocyst shedding, improved feed conversion, fewer Cochlosoma cells, better weight gain and reduced mortality in Histomonas‑infected birds between 14-17% (Figure 5).

In a 2023 German study with healthy turkeys, DOSTO® improved footpad health (Figure 6), slightly increased final body weight and enhanced feed conversion, resulting in a return on investment of 6.5.
